Dear Church Family and Friends:
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yes, another year has come and gone so quickly that looking back is just a blur. From the sermon last Sunday, we learned that God is far more concerned with our future than with our past. But even so, I would take a bit of time to look back and say thanks to the church members for a few things.
Thank you for the love and support the congregation has shown Lisa and me at the Christmas fellowship after the candlelight service. I do not know of a more productive plant than the money tree from IMBC. It continues to yield much fruit and we give our thanks for your giving hearts and loving kindness.
Thank you for all the prayers, cards, and kind words for Lisa during her time of trial with the loss of her sister to cancer, her mother’s ongoing battle with cancer, and her own health concerns. It means so much to her that you care so much.
Thank you for your dedication to God and His church during your hardships and tribulations. The giving hearts of IMBC members have helped continue the spread of the Gospel in Iola, the state of Texas, and to the utmost parts of the world.
Thank you to all the teachers and officers for our Sunday School, VBS, children’s church, and Wednesday nights. Your service to the Lord is much appreciated.
Thank you to all who have served on committees this past year and worked to make that committee’s purpose a meaningful one.
And finally, but most importantly, thank God for each and every one of you and I count it a blessing to serve the Savior with you.
