The Circle Maker, Hurricane Harvey, Etc.

Dear Church Family,
Day 2 in the 21 Prayer Circle Challenge – God is clearly identifying goals and relationships that I am circling in prayer – in my personal life, in the lives of my grandchildren, and in the life of our church. Come this next Wednesday ready to go deeper in “The Circle Maker,” and to share just where it is that you are circling the promises of God in your life.
For Sunday morning, pray through Ecclesiastes 8. You are going to be amazed at what God teaches us through this chapter….
Our new Sunday School year got off to a great start this past Sunday. The whole family can study God’s Word on Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM.
Our deacons met this past Wednesday night and prayed about our State Mission Offering and how God would want IMBC to respond to the recent hurricane and the damage it has brought to so many people.
We want to challenge the people of IMBC to give $10,000 to our State Mission Offering, which will go to The Texas Baptist Men, a ministry that is right in the middle of the hurricane relief effort.
We will also be scheduling opportunities to participate in the “volunteer villages” being established in Nederland, Katy, Victoria, and The Woodlands, where the physical work of rebuilding is being organized, and where teams can come for a day, a weekend, or even longer to help in the rebuild process.
See you Sunday!
