September Letter from the Pastor

Dear Church Family and Friends,

September has arrived and the drought continues. God will allow it to rain when He is ready for it to rain. We can count on that with confidence and security. Please continue to pray for rain and remember to thank God for the rain we have received and are about to receive (1 Kings 18:41-46).

We are experiencing some changes at Iola Missionary and we will need the help from each one of its members. The nominating committee is trying to fill teaching and committee positions. Surveys have been placed in the pews, in the foyer, and in the fellowship hall. The committee asks that you earnestly seek God’s will for your service to him and his church through these positions. I ask for your prayers as we look for a youth director and a music director. I also ask that you pray for Matt, Peggy, Amberly, and Ashley as they seek God’s guidance towards a new ministry. I am speaking for the Iola Missionary Baptist Church congregation in thanking them for their obedience to God in their service here and for the years of dedicated devotion to the young people of Iola. I pray that God blesses each and every one of you with abundant grace and mercy.

Praying Always,

Bro. Doug Jones
