April’s Letter from the Pastor

Dear Church Family and Friends:

What a blessing it is to live in a town like Iola! This past week I have seen firsthand the willingness and generosity of heart in the residents of this community. While the Carey family has suffered tremendous loss, members of this  community have come together to offer lodging, money, supplies, clothing, and mist importantly support. Because of the support of friends and their faith in Christ Jesus, I have no doubt that Matt, Peggy, Ashley, Amberly, and Mimi will recover. I want to thank those of you who have been so kind as to offer them anything that could make their transition easier. We must remember to call their names in prayer and lift them up before God. You see, His is the only one who can give them the strength to continue after such a trying ordeal.

I would also like to praise God for Jesus Christ, His Son! Easter is close and with it brings memories of what a sacrifice that our Lord made for us. Don’t forget to celebrate with Zion United Methodist and us at the Easter Sonrise service on Easter Sunday. The ceremony will be at Zion Cemetery at 7 AM. I hope to see each of you there.

Praying Always,

Brother Doug
