June’s Letter From the Pastor

Dear Church Family and Friends:

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!!! This is the cry we will soon be hearing around Iola. With the school’s hiatus is usually drop in attendance in the house of the lord. I pray that each of you who vacations, go with peace and protection from God and enjoy your time away. It is also my prayer that you return uplifted, energized, and ready for service to our savior. Thank you for all your prayers and dedicated service around the church. It is always a blessing to see people serving God and giving Him the use of their talents. I ask for continued prayer for IMBC and all the activities in which we participate. When I think of service to our Master and His church I am reminded of the words of John F. Kennedy, “ask not of what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” I would enjoy the privilege of twisting this quote a bit to say, “Ask not what God can do for you, but what you can do for God.”  Our father in heaven yearns for us to willingly serve Him in the ways that we are gifted. Singing, teaching, visiting, inviting, helping, calling, and assisting are just some of the ways we can be of service to God and others. Where does your talent lie and how can you use it to the glory of God? Remember to pray for our sick, our church, and this nation and thank you for being part of Gods family at IMBC.

Praying Always, With All

The Love in My Heart

Bro. Doug
