May Letter from the Pastor

Dear Church Family and Friends:

Can you believe it? The 2010-2011 school year is about to close in just about 3 weeks. It is amazing how time flies when you are busy and having fun. Please pray for our graduating seniors as they are getting closer to stepping out into the “real” world. In a time of uncertainty as this, these students will need all the help we can give them and prayer for others is always helpful. The baccalaureate service for the graduates will be on the night of May 25th and graduation is scheduled for May 27th. Once again, please keep the graduates and their parents in your prayers.

Mother’s Day is approaching fast and will be here on May 8th this year. Remember to pray for the moms and ask for God’s blessings on them as they do the work that only a mom can do. Dads are special but there is nothing like a mom to soothe the hurts, calm the fears, and give the reassurances needed in life.

Memorial Day is May 30th and we should not fail to hone those who have sacrificed so much for the freedoms we take for granted each and every day. Please pray for the families of our service personnel who have lost loved ones while we have been at war. I pray that God richly blesses everyone who reads this letter and ask you to pray for one person that God impresses upon your heart to lift up. Thank you for making Iola Missionary such a great place to worship.

Praying Always,

Brother Doug
