May Letter From the Pastor

Dear Church Friends and Family:

Well it is that time of year again!  The school year has come and gone and summer is fast approaching.  Our high school seniors are looking forward to graduation and baccalaureate exercises.  Teachers are looking for days of rest in the sun.  Our children’s ministries are preparing for Vacation Bible School.  The youth ministries are getting ready for camp.  Church members are praying for revival and looking forward to services.

In all of this looking forward, let us not forget to look to Jesus – the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).  Through all of these activities, our focus has to be on God’s Son, for it is he who gives us the peace (Philippians 4:7) that will sustain us when we are too busy or too anxious.  We can always call on Him and He will be there for us, to deliver us (Psalm 50:12, 91:15).

I am praying for those on our prayer list, the church, the lost, the government, the military, and for God to send us a revival.  I am also thanking God for the Sunday School attendance, the tithes, and offerings, the activities of the different ministries, and the worship services in which He has blessed.

Please continue to pray with me.

Praying always,

Brother Doug
