October’s Message From the Pastor

Dear Church Family and Friends:

Attaboy!  That is what I am extending to you this month.  I don’t know if you realize it but we averaged 71 in Sunday School attendance during the first four Sundays in September.  With one more to go and a new church year starting in October, we are getting very excited about the prospects of reaching 100 very soon.

Mitchell has promised that he and I will do something special when we reach that mark, so invite your friends and family.  I also want to remind you that the number is not really important to us, but it is what the number represents.  Having more and more people coming to Sunday school means that we are growing.  It also means that you are doing what God wants you to do and are telling people about the fun and excitement that we have at Iola Missionary.

I ask you to keep up the good work and pray that we can handle the growth pains, with guidance from the Holy Spirit.  Please remember to pray for those who are sick and chronically ill in our church and community.  The military, the country, and our leaders stand in need of our support and prayers and I ask that you help me lift them up, too.

I end wishing blessings from God upon you and I hope to see you in church.

Praying for you always,

Brother Doug
