Be Sure! Day 3
Assurance rests on the finished work of Jesus. When Jesus died on the cross, He bore our sins, and cried out, “It is finished!” (John 19:30)
By this, He meant that the full payment for all our sins – past, present, and future – had been made. Our entire sin-debt was paid in full!
As we trust in Christ’s perfect sacrifice for our sins, the CERTAINTY of eternal life floods our hearts.
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool” – Isaiah 1:18
